Spatial Data Loading & Interoperability
We offer three translator products which automatically load vector data for GIS and CAD users from GML and NTF supplied by national mapping agencies. These ready to go loader tools not only load data products but actually enhance them, allowing everyone using the maps, and all applications reading the data, to benefit from the full richness of information provided. That’s the foundation of interoperability – sharing information across multiple applications from a single data source.
SuperpOSe manages the entire process of setting up a spatial database, loading OS MasterMap from compressed GML and other business layers from a wide range of formats, maintaining the database by applying Change-only Updates and extracting to file-based formats if required. Text and symbols can be stored as stroked lines, so all software clients draw them in exactly the same way.
InterpOSe manages OS MasterMap data in files for GIS or CAD software. Change-only Updates can be applied, maintaining an archive of superseded features. Duplicate features supplied in geographically chunked data files can be discarded, just as with SuperpOSe.
TranspOSe loads any product supplied in National Transfer Format (NTF) such as those from the national mapping agencies Ordnance Survey, OSNI or OSi into files for GIS or CAD software.
These are not just loading tools, as they also enhance the data products ready for use. Our famous attention to detail has made them market leaders, and they are used by Ordnance Survey to produce almost all its illustrations of data products.
