Dotted Eyes is happy to announce that we have now added a new one day training course for PostGIS to our open source training programme.

The first PostGIS course is scheduled for October 2010 and is the second in a series of three new open source training sessions. Feel free to attend the whole open source training programme (GeoServer, PostGIS and OpenLayers) or if you simply want to understand how to make the most of PostGIS then this is a great course for you!

August 2010 - GeoServer Training

New - GeoServer Training (2 days)

I am happy to announce that Dotted Eyes has once again expanded its range of training courses with the addition of a two day GeoServer training course, starting in September 2010.

The GeoServer course is the first in a series of three new open source training sessions - GeoServer, PostGIS and OpenLayers. So why not book a place on the first course in September and then continue your open source learning experience with dotted eyes expert trainers and technical support team!

The GeoServer course joins Dotted Eyes’ expanding range of open source services and solutions, including  a new Open Source Spatial Starter Kit, which is designed to allow organisations to launch a web mapping application within just one week.

July 2010 - MapInfo V10.5 Training Courses

In conjunction with the recent release of MapInfo Professional 10.5, Dotted Eyes are proud to announce that from July 2010 all of our GIS training courses will utilise MapInfo V10.5.

Whether you choose to attend an Introduction to MapInfo or a more Advanced MapInfo training course,  you can be confident that you will be trained using the most recent version of this powerful desktop GIS application.

Remember - Dotted Eyes are always happy to train you and your staff in any previous version of MapInfo depending on your requirement!

Our FME trainers have been busy putting together FME Desktop Advanced and FME Server courses, as requested by many of our training delegates!

April 2010 - NEW….. FME Certified Professional Accreditation

Dotted Eyes Training Consultant - James Bowler - has been awarded the ‘Certified FME Professional’ accreditation

The Safe Software FME Certification Program is a technical skill credentials program that identifies high quality, knowledgeable FME consultants and trainers.

James Bowler has provided FME consultancy and training for Dotted Eyes for well over a year. He has utilised his in depth knowledge of FME on a number of client specific projects, and has also successfully undertaken both public and private FME training courses. SAFE software have recognised the work he has undertaken and his proven skill levels and in April 2010 they awarded him with the Certified FME Professional status.

As well as utilising his vast experience in FME to help clients better manage and manipulate their datasets,  I’m pleased to say that James also plays a very active role in the delivery of our public and private FME training courses.

James will also be instrumental in the delivery of Dotted Eyes’s ‘Advanced FME’ training courses which are planned within the next few months - watch this space!!
