InterestMap

InterestMap is derived from the Ordnance Survey Points of Interest database covering Great Britain (not including the Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, Eire and the Channel Islands). It consists of a vector layer of points indexed on record name for use with the Find command in a GIS, all highlighting location and function information, (classified into more than 600 individual classifications from more than 150 different suppliers) and with a postal address for all postally addressable points.

InterestMap features & use

  • Categorised at three levels - Level 1 (made up of 9 groups), Level 2 (made up of 49 categories) and Level 3 (made up of >600 classes);
  • Location details of business, leisure sites and geographic features;
  • Over 4 million records in national GB coverage;
  • Custom symbols supplied for each Level 2 category;
  • OS MasterMap TOID and Version included for each record, enabling association to features in OS MasterMap Topography Layer;
  • Ready to use, as a .TAB file for MapInfo software or .SHP for ESRI software. Also available as text file format;
  • Includes name of Primary Care Organisation (PCO).
