Features

GBM Mobile comprises three applications forming a complete solution:

GBM Mobile is a GIS application which runs on a PDA.

A full suite of navigation and data editing tools are available, allowing users to load data workspaces much in the same way as in MapInfo Professional. Users can select and edit features, capture a new layer of information and view or edit attribute information.

GBM Mobile Manager manages all set up and administration tasks.

A simple user interface, including customizable templates, make it easy for users to design data capture forms. No programming skills are required.

If the PDA has a camera device, photographs can be taken and immediately associated with a given record.

GPS support centres the map on the current location, or creates a trail of waypoints. Layers of map data and templates are automatically copied over to the device.

GBM Mobile Merge facilitates the upload of amended data back to the central datastore.

Any conflicts of data, e.g. from multiple field workers, are highlighted so they are easy to resolve. Field workers can upload their amended data when they are back in the office, or by email.
