MapInfo Professional is a powerful, functionally rich, GIS mapping application that enables organisations to solve business problems that have a geographical element.

Map Visualisation and Analysis: MapInfo Professional is an excellent tool for performing data analysis over space and time. The software allows you to create, import and edit tables of your own data viewing them on a map and as tables, charts and graphs. **New for V10** Redesigned layer control allows access to layers in all open maps, and editing to layers in multiple workspaces, simultaneously.

Data Connectivity: MapInfo Professional provides support for connecting to a number of GIS file formats directly without the need for translation, plus database support including Access, SQL Server and Oracle. **New for V10** New supported data formats include PostGIS, Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Spatial Database and Microsoft Office 2007.

Map Output: MapInfo Professional has a full range of options to allow users to print high quality maps to scale through the use of layout windows. **New for V10** Dynamic scale bars and layered PDF documents.

Data Linking: link from MapInfo Professional to data held in other GIS, CAD and database applications. Overlay your data with a number of other mapping datasets.

New User Interface : **New for V10** this allows users to dock toolbars on all four sides of the application.

MapCAD Tools: a range of object editing and digitising tools for advanced data creation.**New for V10** Rotate Rectangle.
