DoctorMap technical information

A workspace (for use in MapInfo Professional) or project file (for use in ESRI ArcView/GIS) opens all the layers and sets zoom layer thresholds that determine when the layers are visible.

Suitable for scales on screen in the range 1:500,000 to 1:5,000. More layers become visible as you zoom in.

The location of boundaries is accurate to within 3m. This is within one pixel on screen at scales of up to 1:10,000.

The British National Grid co-ordinate system is used. The coastline fits closely with RangerMap (derived from 1:50,000 Scale Colour Raster from Ordnance Survey).

The storage space required is about 50Mb for full GB coverage.

Main formats available: MapInfo TAB, ESRI SHP, AutoCAD DXF, Illustrator EPS and others
