GroundMap (Ordnance Survey Meridian 2)
GroundMap is derived from the Ordnance Survey Meridian 2 dataset, covering GB (not including the Isle of Man). It consists of DTM (Digital Terrain Model) data with 200m grid intervals providing a cost-effective solution for small-scale terrain modelling and display.

GroundMap features & use
- Visualise the ground surface as a coloured two-dimensional map view;
- Manipulate a 3D view of the land surface interactively, using the mouse;
- Drape other map layers onto the 3D view of the land surface;
- Fit closely with contextual TourerMap or OutlineMap products derived from Ordnance Survey small-scale raster datasets;
- Available as full national GB coverage only.
GroundMap technical information
A workspace (for use in MapInfo Professional GIS) or project file (for use in ESRI ArcView/GIS) is supplied.
Suitable for scales on screen in the range 1:8,000,000 to 1:400,000.
The British National Grid co-ordinate system is used.
The storage space required is about 450MB for full GB coverage in MapInfo TAB format.
Main formats available: (as vector) MapInfo TAB, ESRI SHP, AutoCAD DXF, Illustrator EPS or (as raster) TIFF, JPEG, BMP and others.
GroundMap is licensed for internal business use by a specified number of users and includes hard copy prints up to A3 in size. Publishing on the Internet may count as a single user.
After the first year there is an annual charge equal to the initial price, including one update per year.
