StratMap (Ordnance Survey Strategi)
StratMap is based on the Ordnance Survey Strategi data set, made up of a set of vector layers covering GB (including the Isle of Man). It consists of a very comprehensive set of vector layers with cartographic styling to form an attractive backdrop map.

StratMap suggested applications

- Environmental analysis;
- What if? scenario planning;
- Statistical analysis for decision making;
- Customised graphic output.

StratMap technical information
A workspace (for use in MapInfo Professional GIS) or project file (for use in ESRI ArcView/GIS) opens all the layers and sets zoom layer thresholds that determine when the layers are visible.
This is suitable for scales on screen in the range 1:5,000,000 to 1:50,000. More layers become visible as you zoom in.
The British National Grid co-ordinate system is used. All features fit closely with TourerMap (derived from 1:250,000 Scale Colour Raster from Ordnance Survey).
The storage space required is about 430Mb for full GB coverage in MapInfo TAB format.
Main formats available: MapInfo TAB, ESRI SHP, AutoCAD DXF, Illustrator EPS and others.
StratMap is licensed for internal business use by a specified number of users and includes hard copy prints up to A3 in size. Publishing on the Internet may count as a single user, depending on the application.
After the first year there is an annual charge equal to the initial price, including one update per year.
