CoverMap RASTER (OS MasterMap Topography Layer)
CoverMap RASTER is derived from the OS MasterMap Topography Layer, covering GB (not including the Isle of Man). It consists of non-georeferenced raster images, ideally suited for scales on screen in the range 1:2,500 to 1:500. CoverMap RASTER is based on the full OS MasterMap Topography Layer data processed by our SuperpOSe Server or SuperpOSe Desktop software.

- For any list of grid references, addresses or postcodes, we can supply a set of square extracts centred on each one (either 200m or 500m square);
- Fit precisely with AddressView and TransportMap products also derived from OS MasterMap dataset;
- CoverMap VECTOR is also available for any area, or for national cover.
CoverMap RASTER technical information
The nominal scale of these images is 1:2,500 (about 25 inches to 1 mile) and the resolution is 10 dots/mm (254 dpi). Each pixel represents 0.25m square.
The storage space required is approximately 3.8Mb per 500m x 500km tile on average, in LZW Compressed TIFF format.

The CoverMap RASTER service requires an annual agreement. Each site on which the service is used needs a current copyright licence from Ordnance Survey, which allows copying of any Ordnance Survey paper maps for internal business use. If you do not already have that licence, we can arrange it with your annual agreement.
CoverMap RASTER is licensed for one year for internal business use by all users on a specified number of sites, and includes hard copy prints up to A3 in size (with above licence). Publishing on the Internet is not licensed. Updates are available by ordering the product afresh.
