MemberMap OSNI technical information
A workspace file (for use in MapInfo Professional GIS) or project file (for use in ESRI ArcView/GIS) opens all the layers and sets zoom layer thresholds that determine when the layers are visible.
The location of boundaries is accurate to within 3m. This is within one pixel on screen at scales of up to 1:10,000.
The Irish Transverse Mercator Grid co-ordinate system is used. The coastline fits closely with RangerMap OSNI (derived from 1:50,000 Scale Raster from OSNI).
Data included for Parliamentary constituencies: Constituency, electorate, name of MP, party, majority, party (1997) and majority (1997).
The storage space required is about 5Mb for full NI coverage in MapInfo TAB format.
Main formats available: MapInfo TAB, ESRI SHP, AutoCAD DXF and others.
