MemberMap (Ordnance Survey Boundary-Line)
MemberMap is a specific boundary product based on part of the Ordnance Survey Boundary-Line dataset. The information is made up of digital vector data and consists of parliamentary and European constituency boundaries, in the form of polygon regions.

MemberMap features & use
- Data included for Parliamentary constituencies: constituency, electorate, name of MP, party, majority, party (1997) and majority (1997);
- For European constituencies, the name may be cross-referenced to a separate table containing the names of MEPs and their parties;
- Identify which constituency boundaries contain particular places, and vice versa;
- Look up the names of MPs representing those constituencies;
- Check the dates of all by-elections since the last General Election;
- Compare current parties and majorities against 1997 General Election;
- Shade a thematic map of parties, or election majorities of MPs;
- Plan and monitor the effectiveness of canvassing and lobbying campaigns;
- Match the local authority boundaries in AdminMap;
- Fits with PlannerMap, TrackerMap, RoverMap and RangerMap products derived from Ordnance Survey raster datasets;
- Available as full national coverage or smaller ‘cut-out’ extracts (priced per sq km).
MemberMap technical information
A workspace (for use in MapInfo Professional) or project file (for use in ESRI ArcView/GIS) opens all the layers and sets zoom layer thresholds that determine when the layers are visible.
Suitable for scales on screen in the range 1:500,000 to 1:5,000. More layers become visible as you zoom in.
The location of boundaries is accurate to within 3m. This is within one pixel on screen at scales of up to 1:10,000. The outer boundary is the Extent of the Realm (EOR).
The British National Grid co-ordinate system is used. The coastline fits closely with RangerMap (derived from 1:50,000 Scale Colour Raster from Ordnance Survey).
The storage space required is about 90Mb for full GB coverage in MapInfo TAB format.
