AdminMap (Ordnance Survey derived)
AdminMap is an administrative boundary product based on part of the Ordnance Survey Boundary-Line dataset.
The information is made up of digital vector data and consists of wards or communities and equivalent electoral divisions, plus local authority and county boundaries, in the form of polygon regions.

AdminMap features & use
- Identify which administrative boundaries contain particular places, and vice versa;
- Look up the Census agency code for each ward and local authority;
- Join data from the Census or similar sources, shading a thematic map;
- Size of each administrative area unit given in hectares;
- Wards, district and borough boundaries nested within counties;
- District and county layers, each containing unitary authorities;
- Match the constituency boundaries in MemberMap;
- Fits with PlannerMap, TrackerMap, RoverMap and RangerMap products derived from Ordnance Survey raster datasets;

AdminMap technical information
A workspace (for use in MapInfo Professional GIS) or project file (for use in ESRI ArcView/GIS) opens all the layers and sets zoom layer thresholds that determine when the layers are visible.
Suitable for scales on screen in the range 1:500,000 to 1:5,000. More layers become visible as you zoom in.
The location of boundaries is accurate to within 3m.
This is within one pixel on screen at scales of up to 1:10,000.
The British National Grid co-ordinate system is used. The coastline fits closely with RangerMap (derived from 1:50,000 Scale Colour Raster from Ordnance Survey).
The storage space required is about 105Mb for full GB coverage.
